2024

Well another year has passed and we have all just enjoyed a lovely Christmas and New Year and welcome 2025 in. We continue to replace many timing chains on the ingenium engines and if you would like a diagnosticswe can read your computer and carry out a PICO scope relative compression test to confirm if these need replacing and if your engine health is good. We have also carried out quite a few replacement undertrays on Tesla's which have been replaced with a modified part from the manufacturer. However, we have now found a supplier that provides metal undertrays (skid pans) which is added protection for the front and rear electric motor. If you would like more information on this please do not hesitate to contact us. The return of our Halloween pumpkin carving competition proved to be a big success with lots of votes and comments from customers. The winner was Keith with Beetlejuice.

2023

During the year, we continued to replace vehicle with the ingenium engines and took on the job of replacing timing chains now once we had checked the health of the engine. Winter 2022

As we come towards the end of 2022, since our last post in the Summer celebrating the Platinum jubilee, we have had the death of our beloved Queen Elizabeth and a new King appointed, King Charles III, whose coronation will be held in 2023. I am sure that this shocked you as much as it did us, it was a terrible time of mourning but our Queen had a most spectacular send off.

Since the Summer we have taken on a new member of staff to help in the workshop Bailey, and he is getting use to the quirky ways of Land Rovers. Chris had her 60th birthday celebrations with our office fully decorated for the occasion.

Our annual Christmas celebration was this year held in Amsterdam, and apart from the obvious there, what an amazing place. Highly recommended and well worth a visit.

We have this year, as reported earlier, replaced more engines than ever before and also suffered more parts being on back order. This of course has caused us challenging times and as we go into 2023, we still have 2 parts on back order from early September with no signs of an ETA. This is down to a world wide shortage on components probably from the knock on effect of COVID.

Finally, with everyone suffering from the cost of living rises, we have tried as much as possible not to increase our costs even though everything has gone up. Summer 2022

What a great time we all had in celebrating the Queen's 70th Jubilee. Shame it goes so quickly.

We continue to improve ourselves in both technology and appearance, so after 100 years or so we have finally removed the old farm windows and had nice new ones fitted. Very smart they look to.

Now we are in the Summer months staff are having their summer holidays so please get your booking in as soon as you can. We are also looking forward to Tyler and Emma's wedding at last which had to be postponed because of COVID last year and we will be shut on Friday 1st July so we can all go and celebrate with him. SPRING 2022

How nice it is to feel and enjoy the clocks going forward and having longer lighter days now. With Spring in the air we have started our Spring clean at Dakar, getting our car sales ready and prepared. We can now offer warranties on any vehicle in conjunction with Warranties 2000 so please do not hesitate to ask us for a quote. We can offer, 6 month to 2 years and up to £2,000 per claim depending on age and mileage of your vehicle. If you purchase one of our sales vehicles, you will have the option to extend your warranty if you wish.

We have also invested in a new digitial Hofmann four wheel laser alignment machine to enable us to check front and rear toe, front and rear camber and front and rear caster. We will give you a full colour measuring report once this has been carried out. If you tyres are wearing uneven for example, please call our Service Reception on 01322 614044 to book your vehicle in for this alignment with laser accuracy.

We are pleased to announce that we have a new page to our website our EV & Hybrid page. We will have two charging points installed by 18th February and our qualified technicians are trained and ready to work on your EV or Hybrid vehicles.
