Dakar Cars have invested in the latest equipment in Dealer level diagnostics from Autologic and Launch.

With this level of diagnostics ability we can now extend our specialist skills to a wider range of manufacturers, The Autologic Assist+ allows us to carry out diagnostics, reprogram and re-code ECUs on a whole new range of vehicles including BMW, Citroen, Dacia, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes (inc. Sprinter), Peugeot, Renault, Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Skoda and Volvo.

HISTORY

Dakar Cars was launched in 1991 to design and build the Dakar 4x4 made famous by Anneka Rice in her show, Challenge Anneka. In the following seven years, the business has expanded to two locations and offers MOT and services, diagnostics, tyres and exhausts and a Parts Counter, where customers can buy Land Rover parts.

The five-bay service and MOT workshops can cater for any vehicle but specialises in all types of Land Rovers. The CAT award tops an exciting few years for the firm, which has grown rapidly since adding their MOT bay in 2005.

In 2009 Dakar Cars were voted Garage of the Year - Dartford and Bexley-based Dakar Cars has won the prestigious 2009 Garage of the Year title in the Car and Accessory Trader (CAT) Magazine Awards. We also won Garage of the Year 2009 sponsored by Euro Car Parts.

During the following years, we have continued to grow our client database mainly through recommendations as we are proud to say that we do not market ourselves. We have continued to update our diagnostic equipment and skills particularly with the newer Land Rover's for Discovery 5 and Discovery Sports. We proudly celebrated 25 years in the business and we continue to look forward to the next 25 years. Although we move forward and change in business we never forget our roots. and we remain Independent Land Rover Specialists.

We continue to support AmD in their bid for the Championship at the  BTCC racing, and wish Rory Butcher continued success in the 2019 Championships.
